General Programs
In addition to exciting baseball and being a
fun and family-oriented entertainment venue,
the Cougars take pride in giving back to the
communities that have helped them become so
popular. Established in 2002, Ozzie's
Outreach consists of all Cougars community
involvement from Ozzie's Reading Club, the
Roundtrippers summer reading program and
donations to special events such as the
Cougars Holiday Hoorah and Winter Banquet.
Proud to take an active role, the Cougars
are honored by how receptive the community
has been. Since its inception, more than
1 million students have taken part in the
Ozzie's Reading Club, joining in the fight
against illiteracy and spreading the
excitement of reading throughout the Chicago
area. Each year, the Cougars fulfill
thousands of donation requests from
non-profit groups for fundraisers, silent
auctions, raffles and other special events.
With so many worthy organizations in the
Chicago area, it's gratifying to be able to
help those working to make a difference in
their communities.
