The Kane County Cougars'
2010 season is still alive!
After a 6-2 loss to the
Clinton LumberKings on
Sunday night in Clinton, the
Cougars remain one win away
from the franchise's fifth
trip to the Midwest
League
Championship Series. The
Cougars and Clinton are tied
at one win apiece in their
best-of-three Western
Division Championship
Series, and the decisive
Game 3 is Monday night at 6:30 CT
in Iowa. If the Cougars
lose, their season is over.
A Cougars win on Monday
combined with a Great Lakes
win over Lake County in the
East Division Final Monday
means that the Cougars would
host Games 1 and 2 of the
Midwest League Championship
Series this Wednesday (Sept.
15) and Thursday (Sept. 16).
Game time for both nights
would be 6:30 p.m.
However, a Cougars win
tonight and a Great Lakes
loss means that the Cougars
would host Games 1 and 2 of
the Midwest League
Championship Series against
the Great Lakes/Lake County
series winner this Thursday
(Sept. 16) and Friday (Sept.
17). Game time for both
nights would be 6:30 p.m.
