As we put the
finishing touches on March (where DID that
month go, anyway?), signs keep pointing
towards Monday, April 13, as being a great
day of excitement and optimism when the
Cougars take the field for the first home
game of the 2009 season. Have you gotten
your tickets for Opening Day yet? Within the
past week, many fans have made their way to
the Elfstrom Stadium box office to get their
hands on Opening Day tickets. Don’t be left
out of the first “Play Ball!” cry of 2009.
We’ll hand out limited-edition Opening Day
baseball caps for the first 2,000 fans,
courtesy of Provena Mercy Medical Center.
Plus, you’ll get to see our new-look home as
we set the stage for a great season of
affordable fun, great entertainment and an
exciting season of baseball. So, what’s not
to like? Get your favorite seats now by

We’ve got a new
set of photos of the stadium’s progress last
week, so let’s cut to the chase. Finishing
touches are being applied to the upper deck
area, including restrooms, drinking
fountains, and partitions that can divide
the Super Suite into smaller, private suites
for virtually any kind of event on a
year-round basis. Across the hallway from
the Super Suite, a conference room available
for group meetings is nearing its completion
as well.
Have you filled
out your Cougars Baseball Bracketology yet
(click
here to participate)? Last week, we
opened up our first round of play, which
pits 16 of your favorite parts about going
to a Cougars game against each other in 8
different first-round matchups. So far, the
early returns on the Stadium Renovation vs.
Getting Autographs battle is favoring the
former. After you see the following photos,
you might agree.
