JANUARY 5, 2009

Happy New Year as we post our first set of stadium photos since the calendar year has officially turned. Talk about some unpredictable weather these last couple of weeks. Fog, rain, snow, and lots of cold have sure put a grip on suburban Chicago. Construction workers, however, continue to make great progress around the ballpark as part of the Elfstrom Stadium renovation.

Framing work continues on the second deck, as suites and other interior areas begin to truly take shape. The back wall to the third base side is being constructed and concrete has been poured over a portion of the third base side as well. On the first base side, the staircase has been added that will connect the concourse to the outdoor rooftop patio.

Workers were able to get some painting done as well, as the familiar shade of dark green has extended itself to the roof along the home plate area on the new second deck.

Less than three months separate the cold Chicago winter from the start of Cougars baseball at the newly-renovated Elfstrom Stadium. Maybe this is the perfect time to get the Cougars ticket package you've considered before! Our packages, all of which include popular fireworks and entertainment nights, start at five games and give you the best seats in the house for each game within your package.
