This week, I got
a glimpse of the 2nd floor area from the
home plate vantage point, taking a set of
stairs up to the new level from the atrium.
The super suite, which will be a large-scale
group hospitality option year-round, will
have an incredible view of the field. After
seeing the view first-hand this week, I can
confirm that it will be a real treat for
groups to enjoy a Cougars game, conduct a
business seminar or a homecoming dance
throughout the year.
Elsewhere around the ballpark, workers have
continued to lay steel behind home plate and
that process is now taking place along the
third base side. Some railings have been
placed along suite level on the first base
side, and interior work is being finalized
inside the new administrative offices.
Thanks to those of you who checked in this
week! If this is your first time to the
Elfstrom Stadium construction page, feel
free to click on any of the links below for
past updates and photo galleries. We look
forward to seeing you at the ballpark this
Saturday, November 22 as single-game tickets
for the 2009 season go on sale. Come on out
for a free breakfast and your choice of
prime seats for next season's fun!
Steel work wraps
around the home plate side and continues
down the third base concourse.

2nd floor, near the entrance to where the
super suite will be.
