Construction
crew members continue to build the outdoor
rooftop patio along the first base side.
Cougars front office staff were even able to
snap some photos from the outdoor patio
level! Fans who are seated in the outdoor
patio will have a new vantage point for
catching all of the on-field action, as well
as watching a spectacular fireworks show and
enjoying a pre-game picnic buffet.
Also, the process of re-leveling the Cougars' infield and placing new sod has been successfully completed. Fresh bundles of sod were unrolled by a machine, as you'll see in the photos below. Grounds crew members firmed up the new pieces to comprise the new infield grass. Similar to completing a puzzle, each new piece of sod was smoothly laid in alongside other pieces to give the infield a fresh and smoother look in 2009.
